Questions: Rhea

Did you have fun while you were working on your Comic?
Yes, even though it was a little frustrating at times because it was not the way I wanted it to turn out.
What was the best part of comic?
The best part was outlining.
What was the least favorite part of comic?
My least favorite part was coloring the background because I didn't use the lasso tool.
What would you do differently next time.
I would probably draw in an art style that I enjoy more and looks a little more realistic than the style I'm drawing now.
What was the most fun part of the class.
The most fun part of class was watching the art videos and finding really inspirational websites that gave me new insights on art.
What was the least fun part of the class.
My least favorite part of class was that I never felt extremely motivated to do art and would always feel discouraged but at least now I know that in art, quantity is over quality in practice.
Would you take this class next year?
Yes.
I am going to have a break in winter. Do you want me to give you home work during winter break?
No, just to upload anything that we might draw over break.
We will discuss schedules in the class.
What would you like to learn in next session?
Color theory and more things in Photoshop!
Are you interested in finishing you comic book? I highly recommend.
Not really but if I come up with a new story that I like more I will develop a new art style for that story that I won't get bored with and will try to create that new comic.
What would you do differently next session to improve.
I would definitely draw more because becoming a good artist comes from drawing a lot, which I haven't been doing lately. What I do is I sit around, look at other people's artwork, and complain about why my art can't be that good which doesn't really help me at all... hehe... (in other words, next time I'll try to compare myself less with other people and try to improve myself)
Do you like applying for awards? If not, why not?
I do because they give me validation that I'm somewhat improving in art, and I feel like that is the only way for me to feel better about myself. (because competitions are "official")
Are you interested in learning animation-moving image?
Actually, yes! Even though I didn't sound very interested in class I have a friend at school that does animation and she wants to start an animation club and I want to be part of that team. I can send a link of the short animations that she does and it's really cute. And it also looks fun.
More theory?
Yes, I think theory is important for artwork composition.
More fine art?
Yes, because I want to establish the "basics" before I draw a lot of cartoons and whatnot.
More comic?
No, but I'll let you know if I change my mind.
More editorial cartoon?
Yes, I actually want to try editorial cartoons! They also look fun.
Do you have any questions, wish your teacher knew about you,or  your teacher do differently in next session?
No, the only thing I want to do differently next session is have more motivation to draw because I think that's the most important thing in an artist.
