Rhea's sketch before/after critic

Hi Rhea, nice job on clean sketch! Thank you for fixing the shot in the middle.  It looks much better. Lilia looks more comfortable reaching the taller chair..

When you transfer from  rough sketches to computer drawing, you lost the balance little.   Watch out for Lilia and fairy's forehead in the profile images.
In the right panel, Lilia's  shoulder and back are curvier than your original rough sketch since her neck got thinner. It is subtle change, however, older straight version looks more natural. It happens all the time when you transfer image because you concentrate on  small lines instead of big proportion. We just have to double check after transferring. Tird person's fresh eyes are helpful. Check out with others to see if you missed/lost anything from the original.    Keep going! Thank you!

Chankyo, any opinion on Rhea's work?  Post your in progress work when you are ready.  Please don't be shy. :) Your drawing was great in the class. I couldn't see very well  in the chat screen.

Primary /Secondary/Tertiary Colors

The “K” in CMYK is understood to be the key since in four-color printing cyan, magenta, and yellow printing plates are aligned with the black plate which is the key. In other words the other colors are setup in relation to the black which is thus the "key" to the process.

Merge layers

saving different file format

Please save it as .psd file first. Somehow, if it doesn't work , please save as .tiff file. tiff remembers layers. Also for jpg, save it as quality 12 maximum, and it shouldn't decrease your quality too much. Jpeg will flatten your layers, though.

Comic Outline (Rhea)

I had to save it in jpeg format because the computer wouldn't accept psd... and some of the quality got taken away when the file was being compressed. What should I do in the future? But anyway this is the outline :) I'll have to start coloring now and I'm honestly kind of scared.

Also I have a two years old son and I am living in Castro Valley,CA with my husband. I love playing guitar since I was 11.
Guitar and art were my best friends when I grew up. And I hope it does the same thing to you. Art heals and make people happier and richer in many ways.  Thank you so much for your hard work. Thank you for being my best students.
